We are delighted to share the fantastic news that we are currently working towards joining the Repton family of schools with effect from September 2020.
St Wystan’s, founded in 1926, has its Centenary year fast approaching and continues to thrive as a non-selective school and nursery that prides itself on its reputation for nurturing happy, confident and successful children at an affordable level for all; these core values will remain unchanged with this proposed exciting development.
The schools share both geography and history. Founded by Lady Fisher in 1926, wife of the then Headmaster of Repton School and later Archbishop of Canterbury, St Wystan’s was originally established to educate the children of Repton staff, with lessons in the Court Room and lunch at The Boot. In 1937 the School moved to its present location on the High Street, previously home to Latham House, and over its history a significant number of pupils have started their educational journey at St Wystan’s before moving onto Foremarke and then Repton.
St Wystan’s prides itself in providing an outstanding holistic education, equipping pupils not only with strong academic standards and behaviour, but also the essential qualities, skills, and growth mindset required beyond their time at our school. Our pupils can then progress confidently in their educational journey, be that remaining within the Repton family of schools, or alternatively at other secondary schools – St Wystan’s caters for all.
